Deleting your PăcăStop account

How to delete your account from inside the app

1. Open PăcăStop and go to Settings.
2. Scroll down to Delete account.
3. Confirm. The account is deleted immediately and permanently, and cannot be recovered.

Deletion starts on our server: the account goes first, and only once that has succeeded do we sign you out and wipe the data on your phone. If anything fails, the whole operation stops — you are never left with a half-deleted account.

If someone else is also signed in on the same phone, their account is untouched. We delete only the account you are signed in with.

If you have already uninstalled the app

You do not need the app to ask for deletion. Write to us at contact@paca-stop.ro from the email address you signed in with — that is how we know it is your account. We delete the account within 30 days at the latest and confirm by email.

What gets deleted

• your account and your email address;
• your quit date, how often you played, how much you were losing — and everything we calculated from those;
• your streak, the money you saved, your badges;
• the moments you pressed the panic button;
• your conversations with the mentor;
• the apps and websites you chose to block.

What we cannot delete, and why

• Payment history. Subscriptions go through the App Store or Google Play, depending on your phone. The receipts stay with Apple or Google and with our payment processor, because accounting law requires us to keep them. They contain nothing about your gambling. You can manage your subscription at any time in your App Store settings or your Google Play settings. The subscription details are in the Terms of Use.
• Anonymous usage statistics. They do not identify you and cannot be linked back to you after deletion.

What we never had in the first place

Some things do not need deleting from our servers, for the simple reason that they never reached them:

• Your money amounts. The maths happens on the phone; the figures never reach us.
• The text of your mentor conversations. It is not stored on a server.
• The list of apps on your phone (on Android). It is read only while the selection screen is open and never leaves the phone.
